UniWebPancreas
The collaboration agreement between the UniPancreas non-profit association and the CNR Institutes IIT in Rende (CS) and ICAR in Naples aims to facilitate contact and monitoring of patients with pancreatic cancer through specialized telemedicine services. The goal of these activities is to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment by providing both professionals and patients with a system that provides constantly updated information for both diagnostic and research purposes.
The services will be offered through a web platform designed to facilitate the relationship between medical specialists and users, improving the exchange of documents and clinical data by providing remote assistance services and managing consistently structured clinical data.
Advantages of the platform:
- improve the right to access , that is, a patient’s right to access health services (patients who live in areas far from health services or who have difficulty moving from their home)
- ensure continuity of care, thus improving the quality of service (especially for chronic patients and for the possibility of accessing excellent services)
- making healthcare more effective, efficient and equitable (potentially reaching all patients, improving communication and coordination of care among members of a healthcare team)
- reduce health care spending
- improve treatment outcomes by being able to identify severe side effects early
